Eloy the Existential Donkey (Signature Edition)
Eloy the Existential Donkey is a fully-illustrated picture book with art by award-winning illustrator Carolyn Arcabascio.
Five years ago, my brother Kenny died of sudden heart failure at the age of 27.
When my nephew, then 6 years old, asked me, "Uncle Kenny's in heaven, right? Then why's everyone so sad?" I, as a non-religious person, didn't know how to answer him. I wrote about that experience here.
I shared that article with a close friend, who asked me, "Have you ever thought about adapting that into a children's book?"
So I did. I wrote the story, tested it with audiences of all ages, refined it with the help of illustrator Carolyn Arcabascio, ran a successful Kickstarter campaign to fund the first print run, and sent pre-release copies to all my Kickstarter backers.
Now, before the second print run begins and the book is put on sale for general audiences, I'm giving you the opportunity to own a copy from the first print run, personally signed by the author.
